The Holy Qor-aan 007:143
وَوٰعَدۡنَا مُوۡسٰى ثَلٰثِيۡنَ لَيۡلَةً وَّاَتۡمَمۡنٰهَا بِعَشۡرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيۡقَاتُ رَبِّهٖۤ اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ لَيۡلَةً ۚ وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰى لِاَخِيۡهِ هٰرُوۡنَ اخۡلُفۡنِىۡ فِىۡ قَوۡمِىۡ وَاَصۡلِحۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ سَبِيۡلَ الۡمُفۡسِدِيۡنَ
Wa waa-aud-naa moo-saa tha-la-the-na lai-la-taun
Wa aut-maum-naa haa bay aush-rin
Fa taum-ma mee-qaa-to rau-bay he
Aur-ba-ee-na lai-la-taun
Wa qaa-la moo-saa lay aa-khee hay haa-roo-na
Aukh-loof nee fee qao-me wa aus-laih
Wa laa taut-ta-bay’ e sa-bee-la ul-moof-say-dee-n
And We promised Moses thirty nights
And We completed that with ten.
Thus was completed the period of meeting his Lord
Forty nights.
And Moses said to his brother Haroon,
“Represent me in my people. And be righteous.
And do not follow the ways of the mischief-mongers.”

- ثَلٰثِيۡنَ — Tha-laa-la-the-na — Thirty (= # 30. Numerical number [3 x 10 =] 30. A/t/a, ‘for thirty … (and days to pray in solitude)’
- لَيۡلَةً — Lai-la-taun — Nights (= n., pl., Absence of sunlight; the opposite of a sunlit day; period of darkness between the sunset and next sunrise. Nighttime. Nightly hours. A/t/a, ‘nights (of solitude)’
- وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words. See وَ above. A/t/a, ‘which’)
- اَتۡمَمۡنٰ — Aut-maum-naa — We completed (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Completed. Ended. Filled. Finalized. Finished. The past tense verb for single 3rd person is also for plural 1st person as explained in the Note 001:007. A/t/a, ‘completed (The period),’ completed,’ ‘supplemented, extending over,’ ‘supplemented,’ ‘added’ and ‘added (to the period’)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid 30 nights. A/t/a, ‘them’ and ’which’)
- بِ — Bay — With (= The best translation of the word بِ is ‘with.’ A/t/a, with’ and ‘to’)
- عَشۡرٍ — Aush-ray — Ten (= #10; Numerical number [9 + 1=] 10. A/t/a, ‘ten,’ ‘ten (more),’ ‘ten nights more’ and ‘another ten (to receive the Law)’
- فَ — Fa — Thus (= After all this; as a result; at the end; but; consequently; hence; in conclusion; so; then; thereafter; therefore; thus; yet. A/t/a, ‘and’ and ‘so that’)
- تَمَّ — Taum-ma — Was completed (= v., past., pass., s., 3rd person. Completed. Filled. A/t/a, ‘was completed’ and ‘came to be full.’ And ‘He completed’ but that would be right if God is construed as the doer in the active voice and that is not the case in this verse)
- مِيۡقَاتُ — Me-qaa-to — Meeting (= n., Appointment. Assembly. Gathering. Get together. Rande Voo. Union. A/t/a, ‘the term (of communion) with,’ ‘the appointed time,’ ‘the period appointed by,’ ‘the whole time appointed by,’ ‘the term appointed by’ and ‘the meeting with’)
- رَبِّ — Raub-bay — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See Note 001:002)
- هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)
- اَرۡبَعِيۡنَ — Aur-ba-ee-na — Forty (= #40. Numerical number [4 x 10 =] 40. A/t/a, ‘forty nights,’ ‘forty nights (and days)’ and ‘took place after forty nights’)
- لَيۡلَةً — Lai-la-taun — Nights (= n., pl., Absence of sunlight. See لَيۡلَةً above. A/t/a, ‘nights (of solitude)’
