The Holy Qor-aan 007:124
قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ قَبۡلَ اَنۡ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمۡۚ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَمَكۡرٌ مَّكَرۡتُمُوۡهُ فِى الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ لِتُخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡهَاۤ اَهۡلَهَا ۚ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
Qaa-la phir-auo-no aa aa-maun toom bay-he
Qaub-la aun aa-za-na la koom
In-na haa-zaa la mauk-roon ma-kaur-to-moo ho
Fee l-ma-de-na-tay lay tookh-ray-joo
Min haa ah-la haa fa sao-fa tau-la-moom
Pharoah said, “You believed along with him
And that before I permitted you.
Surely this is a plan you all planned
In the city to drive out
From it its residents. So you will learn the lesson now.
- قَا لَ — Qaa-la He said (= v., past, s., m, 3rd person. Announced; called; conveyed countered; declared; stated or told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘exploded’)
- فِرۡعَوۡنُ — Phir-auo-no — Pharaoh (= n., Dictatorial monarchs of Egypt. A/t/a, ’Fir’aun (Pharoah)’
- اٰمَنۡتُمۡ — Aa-man-toom — You Believed (= v., past., pl., 2nd person., Believed in the Holy Qor-aan, became Moslems and entered the Faith of Iss-laam. A/t/a, ‘what, you have believed,’ ‘You have believed’ and ‘Dared you to believe.’ But ‘Believe ye,’ ‘ye believe,’ ‘you believe,’ ‘do you dare to believe’ and ‘do you dare believe’ in present tense has not translated the past tense in the Holy Qor-aan text)
- بِهٖ — Bay-he — With him (= Combination of two words. The 1st word is بِ (bay) that means with, though some contexts show that the English proposition ‘in’ is also suitable. The 2nd word هٖ (he) is a pronoun for a single male in 3rd person that refers to the aforesaid person or thing or event as it. A/t/a, ‘in him’ and ‘in him [Musa (Moses)])
