فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَنۡجَيۡنٰهُ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مَعَهٗ فِى الۡفُلۡكِ وَاَغۡرَقۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا‌ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا عَمِيۡنَ

 

Fa  kauz-za-boo  ho
Fa  aun-jai-naa  ho  wa  ul-la-ze-na  ma-aa  hoo  fee  il-fool-kay
Wa  augh-rauq-naa  ul-la-ze-na  kauz-za-boo  bay  aa-yaa-tay  naa
In-na   hoom  kaa-noo  qao-maun  aa-mee-n 

              

Then they belied him.
Then We saved him and those with him in the ship.
And We drowned all those who had belied Our signs.
They surely were blind people.

اَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ اَنۡ جَآءَكُمۡ ذِكۡرٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ لِيُنۡذِرَكُمۡ وَلِتَـتَّقُوۡا وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ‏

 

Aa  wa  aa-jib-toom  aun  jaa-aa-koom  zik-roon
Min  raub-bay  koom  aa-laa  ra-jo-lin  min  koom
Lay  yoon-za-ra  koom  wa  lay  taut-ta-qoo
Wa  la-aul-la  koom  toor-ha-moon

 

And are you surprised that a Reminder came to you
From your God upon a man from among you
So that he warns you and you become pious  
And you may be shown mercy.

اُبَلِّغُكُمۡ رِسٰلٰتِ رَبِّىۡ وَاَنۡصَحُ لَـكُمۡ وَاَعۡلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

O-baul-lay  koom  ray-saa-laa-tay  raub-bee
Wa  aun-sau-ho  la  koom  wa  au-la-moo  may-na
Al-laa-hay  maa  laa  tau-la-moon

 

I deliver to you my God’s messages
And I advise to you and I know from
Allah what you do not know.

قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ لَـيۡسَ بِىۡ ضَلٰلَةٌ وَّلٰـكِنِّىۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏

 

Qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  lai-sa  bee  dza-laa-la-toon
Wa  laa-kin  nee  ra-soo-loon  min  raub-bay  il-aa-la-mee-n

 

He said, “My people! There is no error with me;
But I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe.”

 

Except for one word  ضَلٰلَةٌ  in verse 007:062 and  سَفَاهَةٌ  in verse 007:068, the verses are identical

قَالَ الۡمَلَاُ مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖۤ اِنَّا لَـنَرٰٮكَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيـۡنٍ‏

  

Qaa-la  ul-ma-la-o  min  qao-may  he
In-naa  la  na-raa  ka  fee  dza-laa-lin  mo-bee-n

 

 The leaders from among his people said,
“We surely see you in a very plain error.”

 

  • قَا لَ — Qaa-la … (ul) — Said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Announced; broadcast;    called; conveyed; declared; informed; elaborated; explained; specified; told. See  002:031)

لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ‏

 

La  qaud  aur-aul-naa  noo-haun  aiy-laa  qao-may  he
Fa  qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  aiy-bo-doo l-laa-ha
Maa  la  koom  min  aiy-laa-hin  ghai-ro  ho
In-nee  aa-khaa-fo  aa-lai  koom  aa-zaa-ba  yao-min  aa-zee-m

 

We surely sent Noah as Messenger to his people
So he said, “Listen my people! Worship Allah.
No god to worship is for you other than Him.
Surely I am afraid for you about the punishment of the Great Day.”

وَالۡبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخۡرُجُ نَبَاتُهٗ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهٖ ‌ۚ وَالَّذِىۡ خَبُثَ لَا يَخۡرُجُ اِلَّا نَكِدًا ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لِقَوۡمٍ يَّشۡكُرُوۡنَ

 

Wa  ul-ba-la-do  t-toy-ya-bo  yaukh-ro-jo 
Na-baa-to  hoo  bay  iz-nay  raub-bay  he         
Wa  ul-la-ze  kha-bo-tha  laa  yaukh-ro-jo  il-laa  na-kay-da

Ka-zaa-lay-ka  no-saur-ray-fo  ol-aa-yaa-tay
Lay  qao-min  yaush-ko-roo-n

 

And a good land produces its vegetation 
With the master plan of its God.                                                                                             
And that which turned bad does not produce except thorns.

This is how by rotation We display the Signs                                                               
For the people who appreciate.

وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُرۡسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ بُشۡرًۢا بَيۡنَ يَدَىۡ رَحۡمَتِهٖ ‌ؕ حَتّٰۤى اِذَاۤ اَقَلَّتۡ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا سُقۡنٰهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَاَنۡزَلۡنَا بِهِ الۡمَآءَ فَاَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهٖ مِنۡ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نُخۡرِجُ الۡمَوۡتٰى لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ

 

Wa  ho-wa  ul-la-ze  yoor-say-lo  re-yaa-ha                                                                             Boosh-raun  bai-na  ya-dai  rah-ma-tay  he

Hau-taa  aiy-zaa  aa-qaul-laut  sa-haa-baun  thay-qaa-laun                                                  Sooq-naa  ho  lay  ba-la-din  mauy-yay-tin                                                                                      Fa  aun-zaul  naa  bay  he  il-maa-aa                                                                                            Fa  aukh-rauj  naa  bay  he  min  kool-lay  ith-tha-maa-raa-t

Ka-zaa-lay-ka  nookh-ray-jo  ol-mao-taa                                                                                          La-aul-la  koom  ta-zauk-ka-roo-n

 

And it is He who sends the Winds                                                                                          As the good news before His Mercy

Until when it became heavy as a cloud                                                                              We made a drink of it by a dead land.                                                                                  So with that cloud We send down water.                                                                            Then therewith We produced fruits of all kinds.

This is how We produce life in the dead                                                                              That they may remember who their Creator is.

وَلَا تُفۡسِدُوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ بَعۡدَ اِصۡلَاحِهَا وَادۡعُوۡهُ خَوۡفًا وَّطَمَعًا‌ ؕ اِنَّ رَحۡمَتَ اللّٰهِ قَرِيۡبٌ مِّنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ

Wa  laa  toof-say-do  fee  il-aur-dzay  bau-da  iss-laa-hay  haa                                                  Wa  ud-oo  ho  khao-faun  wa  ta-ma-aa                                                                                          In-na  rah-ma-ta  ul-laa-hay  qa-re-boon  may-na  ul-moh-say-nee-n

 

And do not corrupt in earth after its reformation                                                      And pray to Him in fear of non-acceptance and hope for acceptance.                Certainly the mercy of Allah is very near among the do-gooders.

Altruistic. Benevolent. Philanthropic. Righteous. Sacrificing. Unselfish. Some authors narrowed the word to mean a Moslem. The Holy Qor-aan       007:056

 

اُدۡعُوۡا رَبَّكُمۡ تَضَرُّعًا وَّخُفۡيَةً‌ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الۡمُعۡتَدِيۡنَ‌

 

  Ood-oo  raub-ba  koom  ta-dzar-ro-aun  wa  khoof-ya-taun                                                  In-na  hoo  laa  yo-hib-bo  ol-moe-ta-dee-n

 

Pray to your God abjectly and secretly                                                                            He surely does not love the transgressors.

 

  • اُدۡعُوۡا —  Ood-oo — You all pray (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. In re God, you … ask, beg,  beseech, call, invoke, pray, request, seek and worship. In re others, you … call for help, call or upon, claim, demand, get, invite or summon assistance. A/t/a, ‘Pray,’ ‘invoke,’ ‘call on,’ ‘call upon’ and ‘O mankind! Call upon’)
  • رَبَّ — Raub-ba   — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 001:002)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — Your (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You men. The Holy Qor-aan has often used this word for both men and women jointly)

  • لَا — Laa — Not (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
  • يُحِبُّ — Yo-hib-bo … (ol) — Loves (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. As God’s action … admires,
